End-of-Year Ice Show

Each year, ESPSC presents an end-of-year ice show in March to mark the completion of our winter programs. This exciting event showcases the hard work and progress our skaters have made throughout the season.

Highlights of the Ice Show:

Pre-Choreographed Routines: Skaters demonstrate all they have learned with pre-choreographed routines to music selected by our talented coaches.
Themed Performance: The ice show is themed, with music selections and costumes that match the chosen theme, adding an extra layer of creativity and excitement.
Celebrate Achievements: This is a wonderful opportunity for skaters to showcase their skills and for families, friends, and the community to come together and celebrate their achievements.

Day of the Ice Show

Before the Show:

Arrival: Skaters should arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of the show.
Dressing Room Assignments: Check dressing room assignments at the welcome table.
Costume and Props: Ensure all costume props and clothes are secured.

Preparation:

Skates and Helmets: Have skates and helmets on 10-15 minutes prior to your performance time.
Waiting Area: Wait in the stands by the designated entry gate, 3 group numbers before your scheduled performance.

During and After the Show:

Performance: Enjoy the show after your time on the ice!
Return Items: Return any props or costumes borrowed from the ESPSC.

Participation Requirements:

Current Membership: Must be a current club member skating in a club program or session.
Good Standing: Must be in good standing with Skate Canada and ESPSC. This includes having all documents signed, ice and coaching fees paid, and no violations with the club.

Volunteer Opportunities for the Ice Show

Join us and be a part of the magic by volunteering for our end-of-year ice show! Here are some of the ways you can help:

Decoration Construction: Assist with making decorations before the ice show date, including props, backdrops, balloon arches, etc.
Setup and Takedown: Help set up on Thursday afternoon before the show and take down after the show’s completion.
Ice Captains: Assist skaters at the entry and exit gates by lining them up before their number or helping them off the ice.
Guard Runners: Bring the skaters' guards from the entrance gate to the exit gate.
Welcome Table: Greet guests, manage silver collections, sell flowers and cakes, and handle buying and selling activities.
Videographer: Film all show numbers for our Ice Show compilation video.
