What Should I Register My Child in?

Adult & Tot Introductory program ideal starting point for skaters aged 2-4, offering them a gentle introduction to the world of skating while building their confidence and skills alongside a trusted adult. Details Here
CanSkate Foundational skating techniques, focused on balance, control, and agility, with games that build confidence for all ages. Ideal for entry-level skaters who are comfortable skating independently and wish to improve their skills.  Details Here
Advanced CanSkate Enhances the CanSkate experience for young skaters interested in pursuing figure skating. Participants will progress through the CanSkate program while focusing on developing the fundamental skills necessary for advancement to STAR 1 for all ages. For skaters who have reached Stage 3-4 CanSkate.  Details Here
PowerSkate Focused on speed, agility, and power. NOT a Learn-To-Skate program. All PowerSkate skaters must have achieved Stage 4 of the CanSkate program as a prerequisite or have equivalent skills. Details Here
STARSkate Progressive skill levels that develop edge quality, turns, and jumps at a comfortable pace for all ages. NOT a Learn-To-Skate program. STARSkate is a comprehensive program that teaches skaters figure skating skills across 5 key disciplines (Skating Skills, Ice Dance, FreeSkate, Artistic, and Synchro).  Details Here
Adult Skate Tailored lessons for adult and teen skaters, focusing on fitness, advanced technique, and social connection. What is the Cost of Your All-Inclusive Programs (Ice & Coaching)?

 

Does a First-Time Skater Need to Start in Adult & Tot?

Skaters aged 4 and up typically do well starting in our regular CanSkate program and do not need to start in Adult & Tot.

 

Where do I Volunteer?

You can volunteer at a variety of club activities, including but not limited to:

  • Assisting at club run competitions and special events (club seminars, ICE SHOW, club competitions, etc.)

  • Helping during practices (set-up, tear-down, music, etc.)

  • Buy and Sell table, ESP Days, Ice Show Decorations

  • Working behind the scenes as a Board Member

Your hours can be completed in any of these areas, depending on your availability and interests.

 

Who is required to volunteer?

All Advanced CanSkaters, STARSkaters, Podium Pathway Skaters, and Adult Competitive Skaters (or their parent/guardian) must complete a minimum of four (4) volunteer hours each skating season for each skater.(Program Assistant for CanSkate does NOT count)

 

How do I sign up for volunteer opportunities?

Sign-up sheets and online forms are available throughout the season. Use the sign-up link provided by the club to choose your shifts and start logging your hours.
